For eleven years in a row a traditional Christmas program under the name Christmas at the Holy Family Institute was performed on 15, December 2012. at the crypt oft he Holy Family Institute. It was an occassion for the girls to welcome their colleagues, friends, teacher and fellow citizens in a cheerful , festive atmosphere.
Throug the special program the proteges of the Institute together with their friends presented that Christmas is answer to all our questions and the goal of our quest.
The program was opened by the choir „Magnificat“ whose members are the proteges of the Holy Family Institute. They sang songs: „Rejoice Mother of God“ and „Love of God Shone“.
The choir of the members of the Franciscan Youth from Široki Brijeg sang songs „ St. Francis Christmas“ and „He Comes to Save us“.
Bend „Mokarski tamburaši“ in their recognizable merry style sang the song „From Christmas to Christmas“ and „Merry Christmas to Everyone“.
Addressing the audience, president of the „International Godparenthood for the Herzeg-Bosnian Child“, Vena Ćužić summarized the previous work of the Association, the Institute and „Mary Our Hope“ Center. She has noted that on the eve of the year in which the Association is going to celebrate 20th anniversary of its work, despite all the problems and difficulties, all the programs that fr. Jozo Zovko had founded are still operating.
After the musical part stage and musical the play „Didak's Christmas“ was performed.
70 actors participated in the play written by Sanijela Matković - members of the amateur theatre group „Didak“, members of the cultural-artistic group „Hercegovac“, members of the Franciscan Youth from Široki Brijeg, Vocal group „Dobrkovići“ and 38 proteges of the Holy Family Institute.
After the performance there was a Christmas reception in the premises of the Holy Family Institut.
